The present work is a collection of extracts from Hazrat Maulana Sayyid Abul Hasan Nadwi’s published books, articles, and lectures dealing with the theme of the meaning and message of Islam.

Due to his acknowledged scholarship, pious lifestyle, and sound understanding of religion, I wished to prepare a book consisting of his writings and discourses that could inform both Muslims and non-Muslims about the authentic nature, principles, and message of Islam. Such a book is a need of the day in view of the growing misunderstanding against Islam so that sincere and objective readers may see for themselves what the simple and pure form of Islam is.
