Companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
The noble Companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) were guiding stars, illuminating the path to Allah. Like full moons, they achieved complete spiritual enlightenment and realized their highest potential. They were monks of the night and knights of the day, dedicating their nights to worship and their days to action. Allah praised them in the Qur’an, highlighting their complete submission, which brought them peace, success, and blessings. They were given glad tidings of forgiveness, acceptance of their deeds, and eternal bliss in Paradise.
The Prophet (PBUH) emphasized their superiority over all other generations, declaring them the best community. They were the first to believe in Allah and His Messenger, leaving their homes and possessions to support Islam, invite people to Allah, and strive in His cause. They remained steadfast, obeying and supporting the Prophet even before Islam had spread widely or gained strong followers.
Despite their small numbers, they stood firm against overwhelming opposition, sacrificing wealth and lives for Allah’s pleasure. No generation after them could reach their ranks or attain their reward. They carried the banner of Islam after the Prophet’s passing, raising it high and spreading it across the world. Through them, Allah elevated Islam and its followers from weakness to prominence. We remain forever indebted to them, striving to follow their path, emulate their character, and shape our lives according to their example.
